Yearly Archives: 2008
This is officially my first magazine cover photo. It is of CART teacher Bethany Wielicki for Cable in the Classroom Magazine which will publish it in January. The publishers of the magazine found me through my American Society of Media Photographers membership link. I’m hoping that this one turns into a few more as this is the kind of work I’d like to do more of.
Working on Sunday I made a trip up to Pine Ridge at the top of the Four Lane east of Auberry for a church profile assignment. There was a little snow on the ground but the roads were clear, making for a great day for families to take to the snow for a little holiday season snowball fight. On the way back down the hill I happen to get a glimpse of the Valley and the foggy shroud around the foothill peaks. I stopped at the vista point for a few snaps. Sounds like there will be more opportunities to come back as snow and rain are heading this way again.
Saw some cool cloudy like action in the sky coming back from Madera Wednesday. I was supposed to be looking for snow-capped foothills but they were behind clouds so I looked pretty much straight up and got an even better shot.
This is Fresno State forward Nedeljko Golubovic, center, having his shot stuffed by Montana’s Kyle Sharp in the second half of their game at the Save Mart Center Sunday. Tough loss (65-69) for the Bulldogs who are looking like they need some inspiration, or maybe a a kick. Now that we know how the ‘Dogs stand up against the Big Sky conference, it’s looking like a long WAC season ahead.
