
I went out to this old church just before Thanksgiving. It’s The Academy Church out in Academy. I never knew it was there but apparently it’s one of the oldest Protestant churches in the Valley. It’s right off hwy 168 but tucked away so you can’t see it until you’re right up on it. It only has four services a year and most of the members go to other churches but make a point to attend the special visits. I liked the color and the fall light that fell through the open windows. Very inspiring.

Hey! I shot a wedding there a couple of years ago. The grooms father and grandfather were both married in that church and I believe his grandfather might have had a part in building it.
