Rachael & Andy: engaged

Rachael-Andy-76It was a wonderfully warm afternoon north of Millerton Lake for a little engagement session with Andy and Rachael last week. I’m also shooting their wedding which is coming up next month. Rachael met Andy a couple of years ago in his native England and came out to California a short while ago to start a new life. They were a great couple to shoot. They almost seemed to forget about me as they had so much fun hanging out with each other. Now I can’t wait to shoot the wedding!

Carolina & Luis

Carolina-Luis0351_1Carolina and Luis are going to have a great marriage. I can tell from the one day I spent with them – their wedding day – because so many things went wrong, yet they took it all in stride and enjoyed it all anyway. The morning of the wedding, Luis was dropping off chairs and tables at the reception at the Bonnie B Ranch because the ones they ordered never arrived. He also worked to put up a lighting system so his guests could see when it got dark. While he was doing that, Carolina was putting together her own bouquet because the florist never got to it. I think she had an issue with the cake as well. Despite all that, I had a great time. The ceremony was a traditional Catholic mass in Spanish and featured many customs of the couples families. The Ranch was a terrific place for me to get some great shots. It was a beautiful backdrop and well worth the drive from Dinuba. The Mexican band was quite a treat as well. It was a nice sentiment for Carolina and Luis to choose a moonlit night upon which to marry because they say they also fell in love during a full moon.

More photos after the jump and you can see the slideshow here, or go to the end of the post for an embedded version. For best results, let the slideshow load before playing.
