My friend Jeanne Logan asked me to shoot her 50th birthday party a couple of weeks ago and I jumped all over it. I figured anything with with Jeanne and her husband Bobby Logan is going to be a good time. I met Jeanne a few years ago when I photographed her home town of “Cookseyville.” Check out the audio slide show I did for The Bee. The Logans are very musical and very fun. There was a Roaring 20′s theme and a great venue atop a hill in Dinuba with a great view of the Valley. I was happy to be there to capture her milestone birthday (I’m not too far behind you Jeanne). During last week’s lightning storm I took my 5D outside to try and capture a bolt or two. In the top photo I was able to get a little lightning action and then in the second photo the flash of light was so bright, for a split second our street was lit up like the sun. The light was far greater than what I was exposing for giving that daylight look.
