Rick Norsigian for Backpacker Magazine

Backpacker Magazine contacted me about doing a portrait of Fresno collector Rick Norsigian. The Fresno Bee had done a few stories on him already about his mysterious collection of glass negatives found at a garage sale that he claims were made by famous nature photographer Ansel Adams. Although there is a pretty good case that...

Senior portraits: Alex

Had some fun shooting Alex’s senior portraits out at her aunt’s house east of Clovis where she keeps horses on her 2-acre lot. Love that Clovis way of life! We had fun using the rural surroundings with plenty of late afternoon sun. Congratulations to Alex who graduates from Bullard High this year!

Forbes family fall portraits

Just finished post on a set from a fall portrait session with the Forbes family at Woodward Park. They were a really cool bunch. They even brought along bubbles, a football and hula hoops to mix in and create ample photo ops. I don’t get to do these too often but they sure are a...

Theater: “And Then There Were None”

I haven’t had a chance to do much theater photography lately but I did get a chance on Friday when I was asked to do photos for Clovis High’s production of the Agatha Christie mystery “And Then There Were None.” Instead of one portrait, as I’ve done in the past, I photographed the whole cast...

The rocks, babbling brook and evergreens made for great backdrops… Not to be outdone by the tractor, however. Slideshow after the...

Cullers family

Members of the Cullers family got together at Woodward park to take advantage of the fall color for a photo session. The day after Thanksgiving worked out pretty good for these folks who were together for the holiday anyway.

Kai

This is Kai, a cute little girl who I photographed in a portrait session last weekend. She had the Audrey Hepburn thing going pretty good and we did a number of references to old photos of the famous Hollywood star. Can’t help but start humming ‘Moon River’ while working on these photos.

Da Governor

It’s cool being the only newspaper show in town when you have a Governor like Arnold Schwarzenegger. He comes to town pretty often to push whatever issues he’s working on — this time it’s the state budget and the slumping economy. He may not be quite the action figure he once was in the movies,...
