Tiffany & Jordan: Truth Tabernacle wedding

Tiffany and Jordan were married in front of hundreds at Truth Tabernacle Church in Fresno where Pastor Vaughn Morton lightened things up a bit with a few jokes. Tiffany, who happens to be the daughter of my colleague John Mincks at the Fresno Bee, was very relaxed as I watched her get her hair done at the Church. Jordan also seemed very much at ease – even after draining a Monster energy drink. All in all, it was a fun time watching the day unfold. Great food and a yummy dessert capped off the afternoon as the newlyweds departed for their honeymoon in San Francisco. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day:

Angela and Dean: Married

I was honored by Angela and Dean who gave me the opportunity to photograph their wedding at Ridge Creek Golf Course where they invited an intimate gathering of family to witness their Indonesian wedding in the Muslim tradition. It was really cool to watch. Later, the bride and groom changed into more Americanized wedding wear to celebrate with their friends as well as more extended family members. It was really a great time and a pleasure to capture the emotions and fun that went along with the day. It was also nice to shoot a wedding alongside fellow shooter Glenn Schafer who did video.

Ashley & CJ: Married

Had a great time with Ashley and CJ whose wedding I photographed a couple of weeks ago. What a cool thing for Ashley to be married by her father at New Hope Community Church in Clovis. After the service we went out to Old Town Clovis for some fun photos in front of the old brick walls down there. After that we went across the street to the Veterans Memorial Building where we had the best BBQ dinner and spent the rest of the evening dancing and having fun. I had a little fun myself shooting pictures of the new married couple’s rings on top of lemons — which I thought was a cool color accent for the reception. Enjoy!

Steph & Andrew

My first wedding of 2010 was for my friends Andrew and Stephanie who were married at the People’s Church Chapel and celebrated with pasta and chicken at Dicicco’s in Clovis. This had to be one of my more fun weddings to shoot because these two were having so much fun. They were exhausted from travelling out to California from South Dakota to be married in front of their family and friends, but you would never know it by watching them. Andrew broke out the Nerf guns as gifts for his groomsmen which took the edge off right away. And the portait session after the ceremony was such a crackup, I could barely focus. I extend my gratitude to this wonderful couple and their great family for allowing me the opportunity and the privilege to be a part of this day. It was truly an honor.

Nick & Lisa

Nick-Lisa021
What a cool way to end the year! Lisa and Nick’s wedding was to be the last of the year for me. I’ve had a great year and really appreciate the people I’ve been able to work with. I owe a special gratitude to Lisa and Nick who invited me to shoot their wedding at Tenaya Lodge just outside of Yosemite National Park. What a great time we had. Their wedding went off without a hitch and wasted no time getting to the reception – a party for all time! They had the coolest band on hand too, who kept playing on into the night. For all I know they were still going when I checked out the next morning. Cheers!
