Tiffany & Jordan: Truth Tabernacle wedding

Tiffany and Jordan were married in front of hundreds at Truth Tabernacle Church in Fresno where Pastor Vaughn Morton lightened things up a bit with a few jokes. Tiffany, who happens to be the daughter of my colleague John Mincks at the Fresno Bee, was very relaxed as I watched her get her hair done at the Church. Jordan also seemed very much at ease – even after draining a Monster energy drink. All in all, it was a fun time watching the day unfold. Great food and a yummy dessert capped off the afternoon as the newlyweds departed for their honeymoon in San Francisco. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day:

Roy & Sheena: Engaged

Had a good ol’ time hanging out with Roy and Sheena and driving from one corner of Fresno to the other all night. We started with a fun stop at Grace Christian Preschool of Fresno where the two actually met as toddlers! Then we were off to Woodward Park to catch the sunset and gets some nice landscape shots. To cap the night we went to Blackbeards, a favorite of theirs, to have some fun playing games and miniature golf. If this is any indication, I’m thinking their wedding is going to be a blast!

Dean & Angela: Engaged

Although I’ve been to Bass Lake plenty of times, I’ve never been to Dean and Angela’s secret spot atop the mountain overlooking the lake. It worked out to be a great spot to watch the sun set for their engagement session. We mixed in a few shots in the trees, along the lake shore and at the marina

Steph & Andrew

My first wedding of 2010 was for my friends Andrew and Stephanie who were married at the People’s Church Chapel and celebrated with pasta and chicken at Dicicco’s in Clovis. This had to be one of my more fun weddings to shoot because these two were having so much fun. They were exhausted from travelling out to California from South Dakota to be married in front of their family and friends, but you would never know it by watching them. Andrew broke out the Nerf guns as gifts for his groomsmen which took the edge off right away. And the portait session after the ceremony was such a crackup, I could barely focus. I extend my gratitude to this wonderful couple and their great family for allowing me the opportunity and the privilege to be a part of this day. It was truly an honor.

Nick & Lisa

Nick-Lisa021
What a cool way to end the year! Lisa and Nick’s wedding was to be the last of the year for me. I’ve had a great year and really appreciate the people I’ve been able to work with. I owe a special gratitude to Lisa and Nick who invited me to shoot their wedding at Tenaya Lodge just outside of Yosemite National Park. What a great time we had. Their wedding went off without a hitch and wasted no time getting to the reception – a party for all time! They had the coolest band on hand too, who kept playing on into the night. For all I know they were still going when I checked out the next morning. Cheers!
