Meredith & Tom: Engaged

My first engagement session of the new year was out in the wine country of Paso Robles. Meredith and Tom live in Pennsylvania but Meredith is from out here, so they are getting married at Wolf Lakes in July. They enjoy tasting wine together so I suggested stopping by a couple of wineries in Paso and using their beautiful architecture and landscaping for their engagement shoot. We had a great time and barely escaped the drenching rains. Tom and Meredith are a very fun couple to hang out with and now I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in July.

I photographed a very nice couple last weekend at Woodward park where we had an absolutely beautiful day to work with. Chris had approached me with an idea to give his girlfriend Emma a photography session of them as a Christmas gift. I thought that was a great idea, so although they were just a happy couple in love with no big plans yet, I photographed them very much like an engagement session. They were a lot of fun and did a great job making moments to shoot.

Working on Sunday I made a trip up to Pine Ridge at the top of the Four Lane east of Auberry for a church profile assignment. There was a little snow on the ground but the roads were clear, making for a great day for families to take to the snow for a little holiday season snowball fight. On the way back down the hill I happen to get a glimpse of the Valley and the foggy shroud around the foothill peaks. I stopped at the vista point for a few snaps. Sounds like there will be more opportunities to come back as snow and rain are heading this way again.
